Numerology
Today is square root day. 03/03/09. It comes from the fact that 3 is the square root of nine.
This day only occurs 9 times each century. This is the third one we have had so far. The first two were 01/01/01 and 02/02/04 and the next one wont be until 04/04/16
The reason I am bringing this up is because of the philosophy of numerology, which sates a belief in the fact that numbers really matter, and the meaning behind numbers is the meaning of everything that happens in the universe.
In numerology, the name Joseph would translate roughly into the numbers 10 - 15 - 19 - 5 - 16 - 8 if you count the place in the alphabet of each letter. Added up that comes to 10. In numerology each number between 1 and 10 has a different meaning. The number 10 is often considered to be the same as the number 1 which in numerology is associated with strength, power, and morality. It has a lot of other complex meanings as well. Here is a quick break down of what I know off the top of my head
1 - power, strength, morality
2 - duplicity, lies, moodiness
3 - luck and blind good chance
4 - business acumen and savvy. strength
5 - creativity and inconsistency
6 - responsibility, reactivity, magic
7 - luck, thoughtful, conscious and aware
8 - success, ease, intellignec, business ability
9 - spirituality, sacrifice, religion
