Shapeshifters
Could magical half-breeds really be shapeshifters? Unable to decide where they belong,, but able to change their shape to try to fit in in different places? Pretending to be a wolf, or a vampyre or any magical character is really like putting a different shape on, isn't it?

Haha oh I know you are! the mind and soul can take on any form can't they. I think "we all wear masks, metaphorically speaking" (to quote the film), and people like us make very elaborate masks. Other people say we live in fantasy land, but I'm fine with that. I do live in fantasy land and it's a damn site better than the boring ol 'real' world. Shamans and tribal witchdoctors and druids used to do this too, they would put on animal skins, and in their mind would take on the forms of animals. And the Shaolin monks would copy animals in their kung-fu styles. I think its all a bit awesome really.
