Predicting the Future

As far as I'm aware, predicting the future isn't an exact science. You can analyse and evaluate situations, and predict possible outcomes, and this enables you to make wise decisions. With practice, your prediction may well prove correct sometimes, but as far as I know you can never actually "see" the real future. The laws of chance and choice provide so many possibilities that can change at any moment. I would say the exact future is impossible to see, but it is possible to make good estimates of what might happen, based on your knowledge of the situation. Does anyone else have experience of predicting the future in this way?
