True Lore

Where Magic Meets Truth

I am wolf. In the forest that I call home I sniff the air for what it holds: prey, predator or otherwise. I can sense the forest's life beat under my paws. No pack can claim me for I am the ShadowWolf. My task is to ensure others of my kin and indeed the entire magical races are protected from the idiot humans that fear simply because they do not understand. I protect by any means needed. I have lived long years and become a great hunter and protector. Yet now even those among my own kin fear me because of what I can do. I am faster, more silent, keener of sight, and of all the senses than they. Because of this I am deadly to my enemies, for when I hunt, I hunt not just for food but for those that would see, what I am and what other people with power are, dead. And this includes some of those with abilities that choose to work for the idiots in hopes that they will survive by ratting out the rest of us. I am one of the last Gardians. So now I call to the other Gaurdians, whatever they may be to join me, for I am tired of walking the centuries alone in my task.

Brother, I commend your speech and carry your call. For many a year have I roamed the wilderness alone. A wizard, a beast, a shifter of shape. I know all too well that the role of the lone wolf is not so much a role of choice, but one of necessity. In a world we love, scorned by those we wish to save, the heart grows cold. Yet something about this place seems to have attracted many of our kind, like a beacon in the night. It is good omen that our paths do cross. I felt I was one of the last of my kind, but hoped the time would come when the guardians of magic would unite. I think the hour is nigh...
